Moss Registry is really a Credit Account, which works this way: when you register, we open a Credit Account in your name. When someone buys you a gift, we credit the amount of the purchase to your account. You do not receive the gift at that time but you do receive an instant email notification of the purchase, the purchaser's name, their gift message, and their address, so you can send a thank you note.

We do it this way to give you a second point at which to make changes in your list, prior to placing a final order. Most registry gifts like flatware or dinnerware, are special orders placed to your specifications, and once placed, these orders are not cancelable. You will live with these gifts a long time. We want you to be really sure before you place your order.
