notes:
Alfredo Häberli was born in Buenos Aires in 1964. He has been living in Zurich since 1977. He received a Diploma from the Höhere Schule für Gestaltung in Zurich, where he was rewarded the Industrial Designer prize and the Ikea-Stiftung scholarship for research on “Ecologia come progetto”, with fellow student Christophe Marchand. In 1993, the Häberli & Marchand Associates studio opened in Zurich and began to design products for such furniture companies as Authentics, Classicon, Driade, Edra, Luceplan, Thonet and Zanotta. In 1994, Alfredo started to work with Alias, which presented his System of Assembling Elements ‘SEC’ line in 1997. In 2001, Alias presented his ‘Legnoletto’ bed system.
