Through this Rotterdam-based Slovakian designer's ingenious intervention, a colony of over 40,000 bees at the Entomology Reasearch Center of Wageningen University, the Netherlands, has created Libertiny's remarkable classically-shaped Honeycomb vase.

The vegetation around Wageningen University is almost entirely flowers and blossoming fruit trees, which create pollens that result in very light yellow colored wax.

A numbered certificate from the artist accompanies each example.

The Honeycomb vase is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
