notes:
The Temple Bar, Fleet Street, London, marks the westernmost extent of the city of London on the road to Westminster. This is a model of that gateway, which was commissioned by King Charles II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren. The gateway was constructed between 1669 and 1672.

Since 1988 Timothy Richards has been creating precise, exceptionally beautiful British Gypsum plaster architectural models from his workshop in Bath, England, incorporating etched brass, white metal, copper, hand-made glass, and gold, where required. Educated in Bath, Richards has received commissions for his finely crafted and detailed models from the Royal Opera House, The Victoria & Albert Museum, the Courtauld's Gallery, Harvard University, the US Department of State, the House of Commons, the Spanish Government, and members of the Royal British Family.
