The Arkadia service was created by Trudi Petri and Sigmund Schütz in 1938 in honor of the porcelain manufactory’s 175th anniversary. Relief medallions in bisque porcelain narrate the story of the Arkadian dreamland, that region of ancient Greece where happiness prevailed and whose inhabitants were known for simplicity and contentment.
