Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) was a visionary. He was at the same time an artist, printer, graphic designer, craftsman, manufacturer and businessman. His distinct decorative style and often humoristic approach was immensely successful; his work was (and still is) sold throughout the world. The company Piero founded in 1940 is now being led by his son, Barnaba Fornasetti.

In the Fornasetti ateliers, every single piece is still completely hand-made, and produced in yearly, limited editions. On all works, the progressive number of the object and the year of production are written, and when there is hand-painted color decoration, the artist who painted that particular piece also signs the work.
