Fleckerlschliff Pokal goblet designer: Josef Hoffmann design year: 1910 manufacturer: Lobmeyr, Austria materials: hand-cut crystal notes: Between 1910 and 1914, Hoffmann designed a series of cut glass goblets for Lobmeyr. Each facet is cut according to Hoffmann's original drawings, and only the most expert of glass-cutters are able to execute these very precise cuts, which cover almost the entire glass. After cutting, each facet is hand-polished in a meticulous three-step process so as to give the glass brilliance without softening the crisp-cut edges.
