Between 1910 and 1914, Hoffmann designed a series of cut glass goblets for Lobmeyr. Each facet is cut according to Hoffmann's original drawings, and only the most expert of glass-cutters are able to execute these very precise cuts, which cover almost the entire glass. After cutting, each facet is hand-polished in a meticulous three-step process so as to give the glass brilliance without softening the crisp-cut edges.

This glass was first presented to the public at the 'Deutscher Werkbund' (German Work Federation) Fair in Cologne, Germany, in 1914.
