Like Dr. Rams’s 606 Universal Shelving System, the 620 Chair Program was also designed as a set of easily interchangeable parts. Each seat can be changed to be mounted on a swivel base, feet, castors (available for either hard floors or carpeted floors), or a mixture of feet and castors. The chair can also be changed from a low back chair to a high back chair, and seats can be combined with joining plates to create a sofa of indeterminate length.

Unavailable in the US for over thirty years, Vitsœ has re-launched this design icon with true authenticity, paying due attention to the quality and technical detailing. The production facility in Germany still uses the original tools.
