Jongerius’s new lounge chair The Worker, designed for Vitra, 2006, is upholstered in multi-patterned one-off prototypes of her new Layers textiles, developed over the past three years in collaboration with Maharam.
Fixed to the chair is a wood-framed “backpack” cupboard, with walls in the Layers textiles, containing nine different bronze miniature vase designs.
