Ashwood burnt and finished with an epoxy resin and a polyurethane lacquer with UV-filter, and upholstered in fabric composed of raw silk, Merino wool, and silk chiffon, created by Claudy Jongstra.

Designed by Charles R. Mackintosh in 1897 and manufactured by Cassina, Italy, this now unique piece is signed “BAAS” with a metal identification plaque printed and embossed with the following text: ‘Where There’s Smoke, created by Maarten Baas for Moss NY, 01/12/05 (December 1st), unique piece’, and also bearing the label ‘Moooi’.
