This is a portrait of Just Becquet, the French sculptor most noted for his “La Numismatique” sculpture in marble appearing at the entrance to the courtyard of the Bourse-Opéra-Grands Boulevards National Library in Paris.
Henri Léon Greber, the artist who created this bust, is known for his statues “l’Industrie” and “l’Agriculture”, which decorate the Grand Palais.
