Successor to master sculptor Franz Anton Bustelli as chief model-maker and creator of figures for Nymphenburg, the Bohemian sculptor Dominikus Auliczek worked at the manufactory between 1763 and 1795. He developed a unique and superb language of forms, creating large images of deities as well as allegorical figures which are recognized today as masterpieces of early German Classicism.
