Horoldt (who founded European-style porcelain painting), along with Bottger (who had discovered the secrets of creating the white gold), and Kaendler (who was the lead designer of the shapes and forms at Meissen), were responsible for the design and popularity of European porcelain at the turn of the 18th Century.
These beakers were from a limited series of 9 beakers created in 1996 for the 300th anniversary of Horoldt's time at Meissen.
The paintings depicted are from Horoldt's huge body of work.
