Gijs Bakker was born in Amersfoort, the Netherlands in 1942. He currently lives and works in Amsterdam. In 1993 he co-founded the important new Dutch design collective, Droog Design, and in 1995 he co-founded Chi ha paura…?, which produces jewelry, including this bracelet. His designs are included in the permanent collections of the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, the Denver Museum of Art, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
