AT MOSS LOS ANGELES SEPT 19 to OCT 31
Part domestic utility, part heroic sculpture, these precious hand-wrought common household objects (including fully-functional cooking pots, stools, lanterns, and coal bins) are magnified to exalted proportions, rendered in polished bronze, and placed upon aged wooden pedestals. Created as a suite of eight works, each is offered in a limited edition of five, exclusive to Moss.
This collection premiered at the Salone del Mobile in Milan April 2007. Its US premiere was at Moss in New York in May 2007, and it also was shown at Design Basel in Switzerland June 2008. It's being shown for the first time on the west coast September 19 to October 31, at Moss, 8444 Melrose Avenue, LA CA 90069.
