Luisa Cevese has acquired textile remnants in various stages of deterioration, discovered in such diverse locations as private family homes, antique collections and industrial facilities (who often categorize them as "waste", and from all over the world. She creates mosaics in rugs, wall hangings and table mats, fossilizing the memories of use that these remnants contain in their well worn surfaces. Outside the shop, looking in.
