Rasmus Gjesing founded his bicycle company 12 years ago to offer an alternative to the cheap, mass-produced bicycles in the marketplace. He felt that mass-produced bicycles were being made only with profits in mind; quality was not regarded as a top priority in the production process. After selling his first few custom-made bicycles, it became evident to him that people wanted to have the simple, high-quality bicycles that he was able to create in his own workshop, and so he founded his company to meet the needs of his growing number of customers.
